In fact, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) urged his Ummah to travel in order to expand their horizons physically and spiritually. Here are some specific duas you can make when travelling.
The best dua for travelling ✈️
Transliteration: Subhanalladhee sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrineen wa inna ila rabbina lamunqaliboon
English Translation: "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could
not have [otherwise] subdued it, and indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
This is one of the most powerful short duas that Muslims often learn as children. Narrated by Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi, it was recorded that as he set off on his travels, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would recite this heartfelt plea, acknowledging Allah's mercy and omnipotence.
This invocation rekindles our awareness of the divine power that governs all things, even the transportation we often take for granted. It humbly recognizes that our abilities are limited and acknowledges our ultimate return to our Creator.
