From Colmore Row to Ladypool Road, Birmingham has some of the best halal restaurants in the country. With flavours to make your taste buds tingle, in 2024 it's easier than ever to find halal food for any special occasion or individual dietary requirements.

But which are the undisputed best halal places with halal meat to die for and great customer service? I've compiled a list of my 10 favourite restaurants in and around the Birmingham B postcode area.


1. Tipu Sultan

Tipu Sultan restaurant in Birmingham

First up on my list is Tipu Sultan on Alcester Road. This halal North Indian restaurant has over 5,000 highly-rated Google reviews thanks to its famous North Indian cuisine. With reasonable prices (only £5.45 for their Seekh Kebab starter) house favourites include Dhal Makhani, Hyderabadi Handi and Achari Gosht. They've also got a selection of ice creams and Asian puddings for dessert.
