In a later interview, Lohan says that the Quran was gifted to her by Arab friends living in London, who she said became her closest confidantes when she was going through her addiction issues. She also mentioned on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan that the version of the Quran she was holding had translation and that she was reading it in English as she "found solace" in it.

Lohan took her exploration of Islam a step further when she moved to Dubai, a predominantly Muslim city in the United Arab Emirates, and began studying Arabic.
