His father, Wilfried Mbappé, is of Cameroonian origin and Christian, while his mother, Fayza Lamari, is of Algerian origin and Muslim. Both parents were actively involved in sports; his father was a football coach, and his mother, a professional handball player.

However tweets in December 2022 listed Kylian Mbappé's name amongst other Muslim football stars by a verified Twitter account, and there are also videos circulating of Mbappé correctly pronouncing 'Alhamdulillah', although this would be expected growing up with a Muslim mother and given the large number of north African Muslims living in Paris.

Aside from the interview with "Au Tableau", Kylian has never spoken publicly again about his faith, but it's likely the answer to the above question is 'No', that Kylian Mbappé is not Muslim.

Regardless of his faith, Mbappé's impact on football is undeniable. His explosive speed, precise finishing, and admirable sportsmanship continue to dazzle fans and intimidate opponents. He's also known for his philanthropy, such as donating his entire World Cup earnings to charity.
